Kids + Color

Feb 18th 2016

Happy Sunday Funday friends!

Today were thinking about how lucky we are to have the ability to do W H A T E V E R we please with the decor in our home. After all, don’t we all deserve to have a home that we are proud of? The best part about our wall decals is that they are easily removable. So whether to rent, own or have kids that want decals on every wall in every house, they come off super easy! No scraping, painting or stressing when its time to move!

Okay so now that we got “what’s on our mind” off our chest, lets get down to the fun stuff. Color!!! As adults, we all appreciate a little color and pop in our homes. Our kids on the other hand, LOVE playing with colors and shapes and designs and that is why we love using our decals to stimulate kids minds. We feel that it is super important when it comes to kids that their imagination should be able to run wild, especially in their rooms and places they play at home. Color and narrative on children’s walls not only encourages growth, but also stimulates their mind and body. Allowing kids to decorate their own bedroom helps them to express their unique personalty and that is something as parents we want more than anything. All children are different, which is why we make TONS of different decal kits that appeal to all kids. Color is a huge factor in how we design and make our decal kits. There is so many different qualities that different colors have that we don’t even think about when were decorating. It may be that blue is your sons favorite color so naturally you want to decorate his room blue. Blue could be a color that doesn’t work well with his personality. Warm colors and cold colors both have a significant impact on the feel and vibe a room will give off.

Warm Colors :

Warm colors stimulate the mind and body while giving energy. Warmer colors can also bring in a large room to make it feel more quaint and cozy. Warm colors can also cause anxiety and be overwhelming if you go a little too overboard. No one really needs 4 red walls in their room, am I right or am I right?

Cool Colors :

Cool colors add space and promote relaxation. Cooler colors can make a room feel cooler, calmer and quieter. There is an overload on cool colors though. Too strong of cool colors can be as overwhelming as a large amount of warm colors. There must be b a l a n c e.

Fun, bright, happy colors can work as great accents in your kids’ rooms. Colors work best as accents in home decor and if done right, can really stimulate growth in your children and make your home warm, cozy and calm.

Now get out there and decorate! Xo
