Beach Streets in Long Beach
Mar 21st 2016
So, we had a very eventful weekend! Hence why we are posting on Monday instead of Sunday. Had some catch up to play yesterday, WHOOPS!
We had an absolute ball at Beach Streets in Long Beach on Saturday. The whole event was made to promote healthier living and a more active lifestyle. We wanted to take the opportunity to volunteer for Beach Streets and give back to a community that has always supported us. We decided to offer F R E E face painting for anyone who wanted it and we have to say ——> it was a serious success. We got to meet so many amazing people & families and got to share our story with all of them.
Our morning started with being asked to assist the firefighters in raising the American Flag with all the beauties of Bronzed Sugar!! Wow, what an honor that was! Plus it was so much fun!! They used this giant crane to raise the flat while we held it and made sure it did not touch the ground.
The rest of the day we dove into some face painting! We also took some breaks (duh) to walk around and chat with the locals and some other vendors who were working the event. It was so great to see how much these people love their community and are truly proud of their neighborhoods; we truly loved every minute. We painted a lot of faces and the kids seriously loved it. They requested so many different fun designs it really made for a great day for us to get creative.
We ended up with a tiger, painted some zebras and snakes & even gave a super cool little boy some dragon horns!
Hope everyone has a fantastic week —> add some color into your life this week!
